We are so proud to be part of this national initiative of scientific research and innovation! The Barbados Living Lab was officially opened at the Best-dos Santos complex in February 2025 by Senator and Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Jerome Walcott and the Prime Minister of Barbados, the Honourable Mia Amor Mottley, S.C., M.P.
The final design clearly communicates the objectives of the Living Lab while using symbols that are recognisable to the masses. A globular, Petri dish shape representing a microscope and community, projects positive yellow particles of discovery, with life at the centre represented by DNA… all the while maintaining national colours.
